Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

 – Gateway to the Safari
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your lodge. Settle into the lush surroundings of your hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening recovering from your journey.

Overnight: Arusha Coffee Lodge or Four Seasons Arusha (subject to preference)

Day 2–3: Tarangire National Park – The Land of Giants

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famed for its vast herds of elephants, towering baobab trees, and the Tarangire River that attracts a high density of wildlife. Enjoy game drives across golden savannahs and acacia woodlands teeming with life.

Game drives with a focus on elephant herds and big cats
Sundowners with views over the river valley

Dinner & Overnight: Intimate Places Tarangire (or equivalent luxury tented camp)

Day 4–5: Ngorongoro Crater

Day 4–5: Ngorongoro Crater – Eden of Africa
Journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Crater. This ancient volcanic caldera is a haven for wildlife, including the rare black rhino and big cats.

Activities:
Full-day crater tour with picnic lunch
Optional visit to a Maasai boma

Dinner & Overnight: Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge

Day 6–7: Serengeti South

Day 6–7: Serengeti South – Calving Grounds (Dec–Mar)
Fly or drive to the southern Serengeti plains, the heart of the Great Migration during calving season. Witness thousands of wildebeest and zebra giving birth, and predators lurking nearby.

Game drives among vast herds
Predator tracking with expert guides

Dinner & Overnight: Luxury Mobile Camp – South Serengeti (e.g., Serengeti Under Canvas or similar)

Day 8–9: Serengeti North – River Crossings (Jul–Oct)

Continue to Northern Serengeti, where the Mara River sets the stage for the dramatic river crossings. Watch wildebeest plunge into crocodile-filled waters – one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles.

Game drives near the Mara River
Scenic sundowners overlooking the plains

Dinner & Overnight: Luxury Mobile Camp – North Serengeti (e.g., Serengeti Under Canvas or similar)
(Camp location adjusted seasonally with the migration)

 

Day 10: Fly Back to Arusha – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the nearest airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha. Enjoy a farewell lunch or day room depending on your departure schedule, then transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your international flight.
Optional: Shopping at Shanga or Cultural Heritage Centre
